Mission Statement

The Ridgely Senior Center strives to meet the needs of the elderly of the county by assessing and prioritzing their needs giving special attention to the low income, low income minority, frail and handicapped and attempt to serve them in at least the same proportion with their numbers as compared to the service area population. The major objective is to maintain independence and dignity by preventing institutionalization by providing community based in home services for persons capable of caring for themselves with assistance. To help older persons enjoy better health. Health and Nutrition programs will be offered. Recreational and intergenerational activities will be provided to allow some older persons to maintain a feeling of selfworth and dignity.
